Diploma in Social Communication is awarded by Tangaza College to students who, over a period of two years, complete the prescribed course of studies, with submission of a Long Essay.
Duration of the Programme
The Diploma Programme extends over a period of two academic years, i.e., five semesters of 16 weeks each: 14 weeks for academic input and two weeks for examinations. The third semester is devoted to Media Experience.
For admission to the Diploma in Social Communication at Tangaza College candidates must:
- have completed Secondary education with a mean grade allowing them to enter a local university (consideration is also given to professional or technical training and to work experience)
- provide a proof of English Competency for tertiary level studies at Tangaza College. The normally accepted evidence of having attained the level of English required is: Intermediate Pass from Pitman, First Certificate of English Pass (Grade C) from the University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate, 5.0 score (Academic) in IELTS, 500/173 score TOEFL.
- have acquired basic computer skills.
Before admission, students will sit for a personal, individual interview, which helps identify their talents and assess their motivations, so as to evaluate the suitability of the student to attend ISC.
