Programme Description

The programme is built on three pillars

  • Learning from Experience
  • Assessing learning through competence

Learning from experience  assumes that adults develop understanding , knowledge and meaning from what they experience across the full spectrum of their lives. The idea of learning from experience leads naturally to a curriculum designed to acknowledge and develop competence.  That is,students dedicate themselves to becoming both knowledgeable about underlying ideas and their practical application. Assessment of competence becomes integral to the programme.

Across these elements is the center’s determination to encourage students to develop sufficient self-awareness that they can deliberately learn as a way of life ,encountering all new experience within a broad context, and using experience to modify what they know. In this the programme provides the skills for lifelong learning.
